A mother's love gets son's book published after his death
Thu Feb 14, 2013
Just ordered a copy--your son is an inspiration.
Hagel's brother says he won't withdraw; 'he's going to fight harder'
Mon Feb 11, 2013
More tiresome Republican theatrics, wasting time and money over fabricated drama. When will the people who put them in office wise up?
'American Sniper' author Chris Kyle fatally shot at Texas gun range
Sun Feb 3, 2013
The shooter was a veteran with PTSD. He served his country, and like so many others who do so, he came home seriously damaged. This tragedy is in no way "independent" of the gun debate, it is, in fact, a pretty clear illustration of the huge flaws in logic put forth by the NRA.
Israel hits weapons convoy on Syria-Lebanon border
Wed Jan 30, 2013
A 20-year-old study about men, sex, and housework is getting above the fold coverage, but this, not so much. Really starting to look like CNN over here.

Snyder signs Michigan anti-union 'right to work' measures over protests of thousands
Tue Dec 11, 2012
It is amazing how many people don't understand the implications of this. If unions have to support you whether you pay or not, you have killed worker bargaining rights. It's like suggesting that we will be able to maintain our highway system by asking people to voluntarily pay taxes.
Ohio gov. predicts Romney win as auto politics dominate
Sun Oct 28, 2012
Of course he said this. The Republicans own the voting machines in Ohio, and they have been very public that they will steal this election in any way possible. Why would he not claim an early victory? Viva la democracy.
NBC/WSJ poll: Presidential contest now tied
Sun Oct 21, 2012
Do people understand how pointless this sort of poll really is? Al Gore won the popular vote, remember that? The only polls that count are in the swing states, and NBC is doing a great disservice by not reminding people of that fact every time they post one of these crystal ball articles.
